Cold Forming

The European market demonstrates significant demand for both the standard and custom-pressed head units from Himmash JSC. Special orders can be placed for components requiring unique materials, designs, or those not part of the standard offering. It is the client's obligation to define material specifications and determine all wall thickness calculations for these custom items.

Method: cold forming

(dishing and flanging or pressing)

Material: ferritic, austenitic and non-ferritic metals.

Dimensions: up to 7500 mm diameter depending upon thickness of material and wall thickness up to 40 mm depending upon material and diameter; custom forms and dimensions on request.

Surface treatment:

  • Polishing: internally and externally to 0,2 μm surface smoothness for diameters up to 5200 mm.

  • Pickling: for stainless steel heads

  • Blasting: sand-blasting for ferritic steels and glass granulate blasting for austenitic steels.

Hot Forming

The Dishend Hot Forming process involves heating metal beyond its recrystallization point to enhance malleability. The heated material is then shaped using high-pressure presses, allowing for the creation of intricate components with precise tolerances, superior structural integrity, and dependable performance.

This method is primarily employed for manufacturing dished ends but is also highly effective for producing thick-walled steel components that are beyond the scope of other forming techniques.
Our capability is defined by our tooling. With a range of hydraulic presses from 800 to 4,000 tons, we can form parts exceeding 100 mm in thickness and up to 6,000 mm in diameter.
